I am running for Circuit Judge for Washington and Madison Counties. I can bring both legal and life experience and knowledge of the law to administer the office of Circuit Judge. I believe the people of this District deserve to have a circuit judge who will give the time to all persons who appear before the court while maintaining a proper judicial temperament. It is time for change.

Thoughts on Law and Life by Brenda Austin
- The law is only a reflection of the morals and ethics of a culture.
- The part of the law actually accessible to people should act as a clean, clear reflection of the law, not an individual's personal opinions, prejudices and biases. These stop at the courtroom door.
- Everyone has personal experiences and biases, but an enlightened judge drops those biases off at the door before entering the courtroom.
- It is only lawyers and judges who act as a forum for family conflicts.
- The law can mend or tear the fabric of society without judges who listen, know the law and act as a guardian of the law. A judge must dispense the law fairly and without ego or rancor. This is the job of your public servant, a judge.
